Passing Prop 10 Will Have Chilling Effect on New Construction

Not only will Proposition 10 make California's severe housing crisis worse, it will also have a chilling effect on California's important construction workforce, according to Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange Director of Government Affairs Damon Conklin. He calls Proposition 10 a threat to all renters and property owners.

“Costa-Hawkins offers protection for our industry. It provides predictability, forecastability for projects in the pipeline,” Conklin said during the webcast, called Proposition 10: A Threat to All Renters and Property Owners. “When those protections are threatened … then all of a sudden it would have a chilling effect on the housing market and construction industry.”

Proposition 10 is a deeply flawed initiative that is bad for California. Vote NO on Proposition 10.
